Designing Greenstone Financial Services’ underwriting questionnaire

Overview

Hollard Financial Services (now Greenstone Financial Services) in Australia required a new underwriting system which was able to import a questionnaire structure ‘mind map’, generated by the re-insurers and display that as a group of questions on a web platform.

The questionnaire information needed to be shown to users in a simple multiple choice format.

It had to include conditional, reflexive logic with routing down to different question paths based on answers to previous questions.

The questionnaire engine also required a designer tool to allow administrators to configure the look, feel and sectioning of different questions, plus white-label the web platform for different re-insurers.
