Giving Back

The Entelect Foundation

Since Entelect’s inception in 2001, we have tried to uplift and give back to those who most need help. Our policy has always been to direct at least 10 percent of our annual profits towards the poor and needy. Initially, our efforts included managing our own feeding schemes and offering study and social support grants, followed by the running of shelters for the destitute. As we grew, we assisted in the creation of not-for-profit public benefit organisations (PBOs) to run these various projects. Today, our primary focus of funding continues in the areas of educating, housing, feeding and uplifting those less fortunate.

In 2025, we sponsored projects in 26 locations that touched hundreds of thousands of lives throughout South Africa. The reach of these projects continues to grow as the Entelect Group of Companies expand both locally and overseas.

Foundation Initiatives

Educating

The Entelect Foundation provides financial support grants to assist those who do not have the resources to complete their studies, at school or at a tertiary education level. We also offer various levels of support to training centres that provide free information technology training courses to beneficiaries in low-income areas.

In 2025, we offered study grants to 420 students and supported 13 training centres in low-income areas.

Feeding

The Entelect Foundation supports a variety of feeding schemes. These include running soup kitchens and food-harvesting projects as well as the distribution of food vouchers and food parcels.

In 2025, we funded soup kitchens and food-parcel initiatives, which provided approximately 155,000 meals to children and adults. We also supported a farming scheme that distributed thousands of vegetable hampers to low-income families.

Housing

The Entelect Foundation funds several shelter homes in South Africa, including community-based homes for men, women and children who have fallen on hard times. These charitable initiatives have a very high success rate in helping people to come out of the poverty and dire circumstances that hinder their progress in life.

In 2025, we fully funded rehabilitation homes and places of safety that housed, fed, educated and supported approximately 100 impoverished men, women and children at any one time.

Uplifting: On the Ground

The Entelect Foundation offers various levels of social support grants to families or individuals who have nowhere else to turn and need a little financial support to help them to get back on their feet. We also sponsor daycare centres for children who would otherwise be on the streets, as well as upliftment centres that offer counselling, prayer and financial support to people who are struggling with spiritual, mental, physical or financial afflictions.

In 2025, we sponsored daycare, schooling and social support grants to 120 families, as well as outreach programmes that that offered weekly counselling and spiritual support to thousands of people.

Uplifting: Charity Owned Businesses

The Entelect Foundation assists in funding and providing pro-bono executive management support to Entelect spin-off businesses that are fully owned by the PBOs that it supports. These businesses operate as profit-focussed entities, but all their proceeds go towards uplifting underprivileged and marginalised beneficiaries.

In 2025, Entelect Software sponsored hundreds of laptops, provided accounting expertise and significant financial grants to PBO-owned businesses.
